About Us

The Al Ain CSI Parish has been dedicated to serving the community through faith and love.
A few families and friends residing in the Emirate of Al Ain joined together to start worship
service in Malayalam. The first meeting of the Malayalam congregation of the Church of South
India (CSI) happened at the residence of Mr. Joseph Thotukadavil in February 1980 which
was led by Dubai Parish Vicar and was attended by eight families.

The worship service was later held every Saturday at 7:30 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church. In February 1981 the worship service was moved to Al Ain Worship Center and
regular service was held every Saturday of the month and was led by Abu Dhabi CSI Malayalam
Parish Vicar. The Holy Communion service was held on the second and fourth Saturdays of
the month and the Matin service is held on other weeks.

In 2016 when All Saints CSI Parish, Jebel Ali was consecrated, the first Parish Vicar Rev.
Byju Eapen was appointed as the Vicar of Alain CSI Parish and regular worship service was
held at Al Ain Worship Center every Friday at 5:30 pm. In 2019, Rev. K.M. John led
the worship service and currently Rev. Charles M. Jeril is leading the worship service at Al
Ain CSI Parish.

The Al Ain CSI Parish has been growing progressively and currently has over 30 families
regularly attending worship services. An elected committee member leads the
congregation, with active involvement by the Youth, Women, Choir and Sunday school
fellowship who enthusiastically participate in church activities. Regular Cottage prayers,
Harvest Festival and Carol rounds are some of the special services led by the Parish. The
fellowship also actively participates in supporting missionary activities and charitable
works.

The CSI Malayalam Church brings together Malayalam community believers fostering a
deep sense of connection and devotion. Through its dedication to serving the spiritual
needs of its congregation, the church continues to uphold the rich traditions of Christian
worship.
